Program
Descriptions

Traditional Program: C.R. & Co offers traditional classes in the following genres: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Acro. Traditional classes perform once a year in our annual Spring Dance Showcase. Students who do not make the competition team or do not want to compete should participate in Traditional program classes. Special traditional classes may be selected to be a part of the virtual Black History production set to take place in February 2024.

Competitive Program: All competitive students must take Comp Academy weekly to work on their flexibility, stretch and technique to ensure a successful competitive season. Competitive students are exposed to special workshops, teachings, and field trip experiences to help bring history lessons to their modern life dance experiences. Competitive classes are mandatory and are offered in: Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and Lyrical. Students wishing to join the competition team must audition and participate in intensive workshops. Students who do not make the competition team or do not wish to compete, should participate in Traditional program classes.

Preschool Learn N’ Dance Program (Ages 3 & 4): This year we will offer a joint pre-school program of Jazz and Tap class. Students will learn basic dance skills and choreography to be performed in our Black History Virtual Production and our annual Spring Showcase. Classes will be held once a week each for 45 minutes. Students will take Jazz from September to January and Tap from January to May. There will be fun monthly themes for students and families to participate in to encourage learning and social-emotional growth. At the end of each class, students are awarded a sticker for successful class completion.
